Let's prepare our bodies for exercise. We breathe deeply to increase our stamina and energy and boost our endorphins. Next we follow a series of movements to stretch out and lengthen our muscles and finish off with a Yoga stretch or two.
Faster movements here to break a sweat and get our hearts beating. We will be moving to the rhythm of the music to challenge our bodies to build muscle and shed calories.
With our bodies warmed up we're ready we move to the barre. This is dance conditioning taken to a new level. We will be doing pliés and relevés to tone our inner and outer thighs, quads and hamstrings. We will be tightening our seat muscles with a series of barre-based leg lifts. We will move our feet to the barre to work our abdominals. This will be one of the most fun, most effective, most Intense 20 minutes of exercise you have ever experienced!
We will use small hand weights to create sculpted arms and shoulders and strengthen our backs and upper bodies. We will be looking for a lean, toned look in our arms, elegant posture in our shoulders and an uplifted stance. We stretch our arms, shoulders and backs.
A series of push-ups and planks to work out our core and create strong abdominals and spinal stability.
Pilates work on and off the barre to work out our abs and legs including floor barre work.
A final trip to the barre for a series of standing exercises to perfect our balance and streamline our posture.
